Step 1: Identify your Long-term goal

You have to identify what is your main goal and to achieve that you have to first identify your long term goal from which all your short term goal are related to and help you achieve that. The steps to finish Identify and set a long term goal is -

  1. Long term Goal : Whatever major you want to achieve
  2. Why? : There should be a legit reason and if in future when your specified goal doesn’t matches with your why. Reevaluate your long term goal.
  3. Term : Set a time limit (to create urgency)
  4. Requirements to achieve (Specify) : Prepare the list on what exactly you have to do and what is needed for you to reach your specified goal.

Step 2: Define your Future Self

Meta Goal

Define your future self like who can really achieve your goal think about them and then think about you like who you want to become, think of all the traits in a person who is capable of achieving your goal and you become that.

If you don’t know the traits required to achieve your goal. That is a problem and you have to solve it by gathering info about it researching, talking to other people. Evaluate that process how to become like that is it practically possible Focus on what you control you will only waste time thinking about what you can’t control.


Step 3: Define your current Self

To become your future self first you have to understand or realize where are you standing without that you don’t know about your progress.

List all the traits you defined in the future self and list all your current traits Honestly it is for you only. Now first remove which you think will act as a disadvantage for your goal and give points out of 10 for the traits your future and current self shares this will you give you your stage, you will realise where are you standing and what you have to improve to become your defined future self.

If you don’t know your current traits again that is a problem and you have to fix this by focusing and giving yourself time by thinking about yourself your habits good or bad, your likings, disliking and create a list and shortlist it, finalize it, it should be perfect for your sake.


Step 4: Do a force Field Analysis

(NOT VERY IMPORTANT IMO)

This is basically analysing forces which are working against and for you to reach your goal.


Step 5: Building Your Plan

Now you have a your goal, who can achieve that goal and how to become that. The only thing left is taking actions in a organised manner

When

Schedule and give everything a expiry date

How

This questions is yours to answer actually whole step5 is yours to answer this is just a fundamental framework to start you.
